The day has come finally…I am excited to receive my daughter!!!

25-Aug-2009 – the most awaited day for me personally. My daughter is coming to Chennai tomorrow from Coimbatore. This is her first trip to HOME.

19-Mar-09 she came out to see the world, 2 months before the actual expected date !…we went thru’ some tough experiences. Looking back all those, today we are in a good position because of our parents, well wishers prayers & wishes and GOD.

I am eagerly waiting for tomorrow morning, 4am I have to start from home, booked CAB already, and around 6.30am, my daughter will be in her OWN house! for the first time. Previously she was here, but was in her mother’s womb :).

Akshara ! WELCOME HOME!!! :)

image

Deepavali is especially special if it is “Thalai Deepavali”- the first one after the wedding. It is a “ONCE IN A LIFE TIME” event – in your entire life you can have only one na….he he.  This year its “Thalai Deepavali” for me!

I am going to Coimbatore this weekend along with my wife to celebrate it :).

Hey, I booked the tickets 90 days prior @ 8.05am (reservation opens by 8am)…what a planning! If at all I planned like this in all my projects…wow! I would have been Vice President in my company by now!!!

Revealing a secret! How to book cheap Air Tickets?

I have travelled in Air Deccan, Jet, GoAir, Paramount (listing only domestic flightsJ).

From Chennai to Madurai, I have travelled for Rs.700. Utilizing the low cost airliner is always a pleasure. I just want to contradict that low cost airlines are off poor quality.

Many of the air travels are based on your LUCK !!! yes, you can get a costly ticket, but you won’t be assured of good travel. Ask my CEO, she had lost baggages several times with POPULAR international flights. Sometimes these low cost airlines may surprise you with on time, peaceful travel.

One of the questions I used to get often is how I am able to compare and book tickets at cheap rate? Mmmmmmmmm…that’s the secret!!! These kinds of tricks makes the other person feels like you are a great person with lot of knowledge – he he…..yes, it happens. If you have a PC & internet, you can also do the same – you only needs patience to go thru’ several websites, that’s all.

Today I have seen a website which makes this process easy and simple, with one website you can analyze & compare…Yes, here is the website…

http://www.ixigo.com/

This is still in BETA! – Beta in a s/w terminology mostly means….means….means……not usable…….:) …but this site is good though.

Next time when you have to travel down to Madurai…or going to a far off place…try this website, it may surprise you with the kind of search.

Don’t look at the fare alone; try to see how much time it saves for you too. If you can be with your family one more day or night with that extra money, then that’s more important…am I right?

Beautiful Saturday @ Blue Lagoon – ECR

20-Oct-07, Saturday – one of the best day, away from the work pressure….me, my team mates (few ex. :) too) we all went to one my favorite place in ECR – Blue Lagoon Resort.

We used to book and play in the normal cricket ground, but we have never been inside the resort. This was the first time we went in.

The day started beautifully, in fact we had some doubt whether we can make it due to some drizzle and threat of a rain. But by the time we reached there, it was sunny and a OK weather to play cricket.

List if participants

1. Kishore, our captain
2. Srinivasan, Coach cum manager
3. Mahesh, right arm off-spin fast
4. Uday, uthappa?
5. Mohan, right arm wide
6. Rajaprabhu, all-in-all alagu
7. Murugesh, B.Lee Ji
8. Arul (pro series)
9. Arjun, sixer arjun
10. Angu, singles Angu
11. Srini, Jr. sreesanth minus actions
12. Vasanth, open to end bat, don’t ask score
13. Suresh, inzamam..still playing?
14. Geetha, our only spectator…but we have paid her he he
15. and ME

We played 3 matches, 2 before lunch and 1 after lunch.

By lunch, the score was 1-1. But after lunch our team was affected by the menu, so we lost the series by 1:2.

Speaking after the series, Kishore said, his team would bounce back in the coming Aus series, his team lacks only in bowling, fielding and betting which can happen to any team!

After receiving the trophy, Srini said, there was a discussion about me…going to resign and join the rebel team, but our boys held the stomach!!! and hit sixes, which made the difference at end of day.

Man of the match in the final, Mohan said, he always hit sixes and esply after lunch when the ball is swinging…
In fact one of the sixes, the ball in yet to come, Air Force and Coast guard has been alerted !

Man of the series Mahesh said. “I used to get man of the series for bowling fast, but this is the first time I am getting it for batting, I had few problems with kishore in RHM and I took the revenge on the field !”.

In front of the huge crowd :)…suresh wanted to prove himself, but uthappa spoiled it by throwing to the striker end and arjun by mistake dragged the ball on to the stumps…..a close call, but what to do when TV replays shows he was short !!!

Another important moment came when Rajaprabhu went in and srini was bowling, the first ball…full toss went for a straight six. But for some reason Rajaprabhu went to srini and said thanks. Investigations are still on, decision will be announced in next ICC meet at London. But the crowd was saying “problems within the family…what to do”.

2 best catches were awarded, Arjun and Angu – both as wkt keepers. but TV reply shows their eys were closed while catching…even when the ball was in their hand, they were searching the ball near them….confusing?!, another ball?

Most importantly, Lunch was too good…

Then… by evening, we all went to beach and enjoyed.

Few photos follow…this post.

Challenges….Life is full of

Couple of years ago, when I planned for my Diwali trip…I faced a biggest challenge, all govt transport employees (Express Buses) went off strike. It was tough that time to reach my home town…it took more than 15 hrs. from chennai to sivakasi (usually 10 to 11 hrs. max.)…I lost couple wonderful early morning hours of Diwali.

Today I have to fly to Mumbai….and this time Indian Air company employess off to a strike….heard couple of flight cancels and long delays yesterday night itself…..so it is going to be yet another tough day…my planned start time is 8.40pm, right now I am not sure when I am going to take off :-(.

Let us see – in tamil they used to say “ellam avan paathukkuvan….” means, let God oversee all these problems.
